The American Academy of Child and Adolescent Psychiatry (AACAP) Annual Meeting is considered the largest gathering of child and adolescent psychiatrists in the world. This year, child and adolescent psychiatrists descended upon New York City to discuss the latest thinking on attention-deficit/hyperactivity disorder (ADHD), autism spectrum disorder, bipolar disorder, depression, and other mental health conditions affecting kids and teens. The action-packed six-day meeting took place from Oct. 23 to 28, 2023, at the Hilton New York Midtown and the Sheraton New York Times Square Hotel.

Known as the largest gathering of child and adolescent psychiatrists in the world, the American Academy of Child and Adolescent Psychiatry (AACAP) Annual Meeting brought experts to New York City to discuss the latest advances in diagnosing and treating attention-deficit/hyperactivity disorder (ADHD), autism spectrum disorder, bipolar disorder, depression, and other mental health conditions affecting kids and teens.
The six-day meeting is taking place from Oct. 23 to 28, 2023, at the Hilton New York Midtown and the Sheraton New York Times Square Hotel.
“The goal of the meeting, as always, is to come together as a community, to advance AACAP’s mission to promote the healthy development of children, adolescents, and families through advocacy, education, and research, and to meet the professional needs of child and adolescent psychiatrists throughout their careers,” Warren Y.K. Ng, M.D., M.P.H., AACAP president, wrote in his welcome letter. Ng is the medical director of outpatient behavioral health at Columbia University Irving Medical Center in New York City.
