Conclusions: This study provided an important resource of the effects of empagliflozin on various tissues of SHRs. We identified tissue-specific and tissue-enriched transcriptomic signatures, and uncovered the beneficial effects of empagliflozin on hypertension, weight gain and inflammatory response in validated experiments.
