In addition to the core symptoms defining ADHD, affected children often experience motor problems; in particular, graphomotor movements including handwriting are affected. However, in clinical settings, there is little emphasis...
Conclusions/Relevance: We did not find clear evidence for beneficial effects of methylphenidate or physiotherapeutic treatment on children's overall graphomotor movements suggesting that treatments need to be better tailored towards specific and individual deficits in graphomotor movements.

Genome-wide analyses of ADHD identify 27 risk loci, refine the genetic architecture and implicate several cognitive domains - Nature Genetics

Attention-deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD) is a prevalent neurodevelopmental disorder with a major genetic component. Here, we present a genome-wide association study meta-analysis of ADHD comprising 38,691 individuals with ADHD and...
Conclusions/Relevance: Bivariate Gaussian mixture modeling estimated that 84–98% of ADHD-influencing variants are shared with other psychiatric disorders. In addition, common-variant ADHD risk was associated with impaired complex cognition such as verbal reasoning and a range of executive functions, including attention.

Conclusions: Stimulants had a higher rate of most AE compared with A2A. AE profiles, together with efficacy, should inform clinical decision-making. Prospective randomized clinical trials are needed to fully compare efficacy and AE profiles of A2A and stimulants.
